چکیده
Stevia rebaudiana (Bert.) produces steviol glycoside sweeteners that are sweeter than sucrose. Stevioside and rebaudioside A important glycosides used in food production. This study was conducted to investigate the effect of different concentrations cadmium chloride (0, 20, 40, 60 80 mg/L) silver nitrate 15, 30, 45 sampling times on stevioside production Ent-kaurenoic acid 13-hydroxylase, uridine diphosphate-glycosyltransferase 74G1 76G1 genes expression vitro conditions. The results showed application decreased Among various chloride, highest were respectively 39.76 mg/g 2.27 mg/L dry weight 96 72 h after elicitation with 20 chloride. nitrate, amounts 33.33 2.19 obtained at control condition for 24 h. In all three increased but gene 13-hydroxylase diphosphateglycosyltransferase expression. correlation analysis not correlated expression, while inversely 76G1. Also, positive correlations observed between synthesis A.

HPTLC method for simultaneous analysis of stevioside and rebaudioside-A in Stevia rebaudiana.
An HPTLC method was developed and validated for simultaneous determination of stevioside (STE) and rebaudioside-A (REB-A) in Stevia rebaudiana leaves. The HPTLC separation was performed on precoated silica gel 60F254 HPTLC plates with the mobile phase ethyl acetate-ethanol-acetone-water (15 + 3 + 6 + 6, v/v/v/v). The densitometric quantification of steviol glycosides was carried out at Amax 580...
متن کاملEffect of salicylic acid on stevioside and rebaudioside A production and transcription of biosynthetic genes in in vitro culture of Stevia rebaudiana
S. rebaudiana produces steviol glycosides including stevioside and rebaudioside A that are valuable as low calorie sweeteners. The objective of this study was to investigate the effects of salicylic acid elicitation and sampling times on the improvment of stevioside and rebaudioside A production and KA13H, UGT74G1 and UGT76G1 genes expression. The results showed that the addition of different c...
متن کاملIsolation and Characterization of a Novel Rebaudioside M Isomer from a Bioconversion Reaction of Rebaudioside A and NMR Comparison Studies of Rebaudioside M Isolated from Stevia rebaudiana Bertoni and Stevia rebaudiana Morita
A minor product, rebaudioside M2 (2), from the bioconversion reaction of rebaudioside A (4) to rebaudioside D (3), was isolated and the complete structure of the novel steviol glycoside was determined. Rebaudioside M2 (2) is considered an isomer of rebaudioside M (1) and contains a relatively rare 1→6 sugar linkage. It was isolated and characterized with NMR (1H, 13C, COSY, HSQC-DEPT, HMBC, 1D-...
متن کاملIdentification of Stevioside Using Tissue Culture-Derived Stevia (Stevia rebaudiana) Leaves
Stevioside is a natural sweetener from Stevia leaf, which is 300 times sweeter than sugar. It helps to reduce blood sugar levels dramatically and thus can be of benefit to diabetic people. Tissue culture is a very potential modern technology that can be used in large-scale disease-free stevia production throughout the year. We successfully produced stevia plant through in vitro culture for iden...
متن کاملMutagenicity and human chromosomal effect of stevioside, a sweetener from Stevia rebaudiana Bertoni.
Leaves of Stevia rebaudiana Bertoni have been popularly used as a sweetener in foods and beverages for diabetics and obese people due to their potent sweetener stevioside. In this report, stevioside and steviol were tested for mutagenicity in Salmonella typhimurium strains TA98 and TA100 and for chromosomal effects on cultured human lymphocytes. Stevioside was not mutagenic at concentrations up...
